The Huskies

As most of you know, for the past 2 months Ben has been playing basketball with some of his friends from school.  The name of the team was "The Huskies," and we played in the "5 on 5" league up at the Community Center.  I volunteered to be an assistant coach on the team.  Ben played on a basketball team when he was younger, but this was the first time since we've been back, so he was basically starting all over again.  It took him a few games to figure things out, but by the end of the season he really improved, and really enjoyed the game.  He made one basket throughout the season, and he got lots of rebounds.  All the boys on the team played great.  We played 8 games, and the boys won all of them.  Quite an accomplishment.  Ben and I had a fun time throughout the season.  Basketball has always been my favorite sport to play and I was happy to see Ben enjoyed it as much as I do.  I was really proud of him.  He signed up for a sport he knew very little about and he came out a winner.  Here are some memories from the season.

A Texas Thanksgiving

A few weeks ago we flew down to Texas to spend Thanksgiving with all of the family.  We shuttled ourselves around for a few days trying to see everyone.  In-laws, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, siblings, you name it.  It was a quick whirlwind of a trip, but it was great to see everyone and the weather was great.
