Life At Random
It's been a while since I've gone through the pictures on my phone. This past summer the kids were on the swim team at the country club, Ben got braces, Megan got to do a "pom" camp and perform at a Loons game, and Ben went to scout camp and went on a campout up north at South Manitou Island. Overall it was a fun and busy summer.
Cuyahoga Valley National Park
In early August, while Ben was away at a sleep-away camp, Megan and I drove down to Ohio for a few days to check out Cuyahoga Valley National Park. For some reason Megan has always been interested in visiting the park, so we thought it was a good time to go check it out. The park features the historic Cuyahoga river, and details the history of settlements in the area over the centuries. Overall, the park is somewhat small, but it does have some nice waterfalls, some nice hiking trails, and a GREAT bike path that runs through the park for around 20 miles. We had a fun time on our "Daddy Daughter" adventure.
