Our New Kitchen

Well...the work on the kitchen is done. For those of you who don't know we've been slowly renovating our kitchen and doing some updating. Below you'll see a picture of the kitchen as it was when we moved in. We ended up keeping the cabinets in tact, but we changed out the handles. Also, we had new countertops put in, as well as a new sink and faucet. Also, we had a microwave put in over the stove. Believe it or not there wasn't one when we purchased the house, so we had been using a countertop model all this time.
On the other side of the kitchen we had the kitchen light replaced, and the entire fixture moved over about a foot. That allowed us to move the table over as well and thus created more space overall.
Last but not least my dad was nice enough to help me paint the entire kitchen a nice neutral brown, and finally we had some tile work done all along the backsplash area and around the window.
Overall the kitchen looks ten times better, and vastly improved. For now we're done with all the changes. We're still considering eventually putting in lighting underneath the cabinets, and also recessed lighting up above. But for now we're done...(I think.)
So that leaves us with basically one more room in the house that we haven't worked on yet...our master bath upstairs. But hey...it's summer now. That can wait til winter!
