The Shooting Stars

Megan just finished her soccer season.  Her team was called "The Shooting Stars," and I was one of the assistant coaches.  The girls played great all season.  They really improved from week to week.  It was amazing to watch their development.  Megan also found a new favorite position - goalie.  That's right…she turned out to be a great goalie.  She was one of the few girls on the team who wasn't afraid of the ball.  Overall the team finished the season 4-4.  It was a great season.

A Quick Trip To Texas

A few weeks ago the kids had a three day weekend from school, so we decided to take a quick trip down to Texas and see Jenny's Dad and Stepmom.  The highlight of the trip was spending the day at the State Fair of Texas.  Of course the big event at the fair that weekend was the Texas/Oklahoma game, so it was cool to be in town while that was going on.  We enjoyed all the tasty food, and played some games on the Midway, and had a great time.  Jenny's brother's family was also in town that weekend, so the kids got to hang out with their cousins.

Life At Random

I noticed recently I have a lot of random pictures piling up on my laptop, so I thought now would be a good time to post them.  Here are some of the things we've been up to lately.  At the end of the summer we had a visit from "Nana" from Texas and we took her to her first Loons game, the kids started school again, Ben and I are skateboarding together, the kids had their first "lemonade stand," we went to the "Midland Balloon Festival," we went apple picking, we went to a Midland High football game, and we took care of my Uncle's dog "Buddy."  Oh yeah, Megan also lost her two front teeth.
