Christmas Time In Zurich

This past Saturday we took the train downtown for some Christmas fun.  Ben and the entire 3rd grade at his school all sang Christmas carols in front of a crowd in what was called "The Singing Christmas Tree."  They all sang for about 30 minutes, and they gave two performances.  Also, Ben was one of the few children who got to read special Christmas wishes to the audience, so that was cool to see.  It was chilly but the kids did great.  Afterward, we all walked up and down the Bahnhofstrasse and took in all the Christmas decorations.  Right now Zurich has the strasse decked out with Christmas lights that hang over the streets.  It's pretty cool to see.  Also, the Christmas markets are scattered around town right now.  Those are typically wooden stands set up around town with local merchants selling gifts and things.  Anyway, it was a nice way to spend a December day.
