Auf Wiedersehen In Switzerland

Well…you'll have to forgive me.  I haven't updated this blog in weeks.  Well…in months actually.  But as most of you know we've been a little preoccupied with our big move back to Michigan.  We left Zurich around the last week of June, shortly after school got out for the summer.  And while we were excited to get back to our life in America, we were also very sad to leave all of our friends in Zurich.  In fact, I would say the friends we made during our time there was probably the best thing that happened to us.  The kids were also really sad to leave the international school.  They loved that school and were very sad to leave.  So as you might expect, our last few weeks in Switzerland were especially tough, dealing with both the move as well as a sad family.  The kids might not look sad in the pictures below, but they were going through a range of emotions.  Anyway, living in Switzerland these past 2 1/2 years was a great experience for all of us.  Not only did it bring us closer as a family, it opened our eyes to different cultures and a larger world.  Switzerland will forever be a part of us, and we'll continue to go back and visit through the years.  Here are some pictures from our last weeks in Zurich.
