"Sledging"

Here in Switzerland they call sledding "sledging." Today we got to experience sledding Swiss style. We drove up into the mountains with our friends the McGaugh family to the ski town of Alpthal, which is near the slightly larger village of Einsiedeln. This whole area is only about 40-45 minutes outside of Zurich. Anyway, the kids have been dying to go sledding somewhere so we got a recommendation about this place. The weather was perfect - sunny skies and temperatures around 30, so we had a nice time. And as you can see the scenery was beautiful. The kids had fun racing down the hill, but it was very steep...so we had a few wipeouts at times. But all in all it was a fun way to spend an afternoon.
