On Day 2 we continued on toward Disney, where we checked into the Disneyland Paris Hotel (first picture below.) The hotel is typical Disney, with its nice amenities, and friendly and attentive staff. Like any Disney hotel you feel like you are being taken care of. But what makes the hotel unique is its proximity to the park. It's right next door. So you when you walk out of the doors you're right in the Magic Kingdom. This unique feature came in handy time and time again for us. As for the park, it's about the size of Disneyland in California. I would describe it as "Bizzaro Disneyland." It's hard to describe. It looks like Disneyland. It sounds like Disneyland. But all the signs are in french, all the characters in the rides talk in french, some of the rides are slightly different, and everything is located in different areas than you're used to. For example, there is the typical castle in the center of the park. But here it's pink and it has a dragon in a dungeon below it. The Haunted Mansion is called the Phantom Manor. Anyway, you get the idea. What we liked the most was due to the smaller size the park was a lot more manageable to maneuver through. We found it very easy to get from one end of the park to the other. Anyway, as you can see the kids had a blast. Except for Big Thunder Mountain of course. Megan loves that ride in Orlando, but here it's a little more scary. She didn't like it at all.
