This past weekend we went to "Atzmaennig," which is a ski resort up in the hills just east of the town of Rapperswil. This time of year the resort turns into a kind of "mountain park," with playground equipment, zip lines, trampolines, bungees, and slides. The ski lift takes you up to the top of the mountain where you can hike around and check out the views of the Alps nearby. The highlight is the "Rutschbahn," which is a long slide down the mountain. The ski lift takes you up about half way, and then you ride a "small seat with wheels" down the mountain on the slide. It's kind of like a tame "bobsled." Anyway, it was a pretty fun place. I'm sure we'll be back soon.
