Today the kids and I took my parents for a scenic drive into the mountains. We drove southeast into the tiny country of Lichtenstein and saw the picturesque "Castle Gutenberg," which sits perched on a small hill overlooking the village of Balzers. Then we drove to the small town of Sargans in Switzerland and walked around "Castle Sargans." From the top you get great views of the surrounding valleys and mountains. Then on our way back we stopped at Lake Walensee in Switzerland, which is a beautiful lake surrounded by mountains. My parents really enjoyed all the classic Swiss scenery today. This was the first time for the kids and I to visit both of these castles. We're hoping to visit them again soon and maybe spend a little more time at each.
