Last weekend we said our final goodbyes to our little Glacier. We made the whole weekend all about her. In addition to giving her lots of hugs and kisses we took her for two nice walks in the snow up to the ruins of Wadenswil Castle, which is a favorite hike of ours. And despite the sad atmosphere the kids enjoyed finding icicles and pretending they were at the castle of the "White Witch" in the Narnia books. It was a tough weekend as you can imagine, but we pulled through it somehow. As hard as it is to say goodbye to someone who was like another child to us we know we made the right decision, and we know she is in a better place.
Throughout her life Glacier always loved to go on walks and hikes, and the picture below is how I'll always remember her. Always out in front, pulling us along as if to say "you're going to slow."
