Italy's North Coast - Day 3

Our third day was our "hiking day" in the Cinque Terre.  We first took the train to Corniglia, where we walked around for a little bit.  That village is pretty small so it didn't take long to see most of it.  After that we took the train to the village of Vernazza.  Vernazza was filled with tourists and seemed pretty packed with people, but it was beautiful.  From there we hiked 2 miles along the coast to Monterrosso.  Hiking from village to village is a common thing with tourists, so the trail was packed with people.  But despite the crowds the ocean scenery was stunning.  Also, Megan and Ben were some of the youngest children we saw on the trail.  The trail was pretty tricky in some parts, but the kids did great.  Anyway, in Monterosso we had lunch on the beach, and then later the kids had fun playing in the sand.
