Ben's Pirate Birthday Party

Yesterday we threw a birthday party for Ben. The theme was "Pirates," so we decorated the house with pirate stuff. We got a great looking pirate cake, some pirate cookies, a treasure chest, and some pirate balloons. We even got "Mr. and Mrs. Bones" out from the Halloween box, and we turned them into pirate skeletons (got the idea from the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disney World.) We invited Kelvyn, Parker, Nicholas and William, Miles, Ryan, and Gabe. Megan was the only girl, but she held her own pretty well. We played "Hot Potato" with a pirate hat, made pirate necklaces, and even did a treasure hunt around the house with clues that were written on scrolls. After that it was time for cake and ice cream, and then of course Ben got to open his presents. All in all it was a fun afternoon. Afterward Ben said it was the best birthday party he ever had, so I guess we did okay. Here's some of the pictures.
