It's been very cold here lately. Everyday is around 15 F, and cloudy and grey. Yesterday I drove to downtown to get something from the Apple store. I spent about 20 minutes walking around town a bit before I started to freeze. But I did manage to get some nice pictures of some historic churches and buildings. Also, Jenny's Mom arrived this week. She's been helping us get settled and spending time with the kids. We even got to celebrate her birthday with a nice dinner at a local restaurant, so that was cool. Also, we're signing the kids up for skiing lessons. Here you can rent ski equipment for the entire season. Very convenient. Meanwhile, in other news we finally got a second car. Up til now Jenny and I have been sharing one car. We ended up getting a used Volkswagen "Polo," which is like a smaller Golf. All the roads and parking lots around here are smaller and much tighter, so we realized a smaller car would be handy. Also, we had lunch at a local cafe down the street from our house. We tried "Vermicelli," which is like ice cream made with chestnuts, and we tried "Rivella," which is a Swiss-made soft drink. Other than that it's been business as usual. School...work...and endless trips to Ikea.
