Back To School!

I've been a little behind on this here blog lately (been hosting lots of visitors.)  Anyway, a few weeks ago the kids started back at school.  The international school starts a little earlier than all the others, so they were actually back at school around the middle of August.  Of course Ben is now in 3rd grade, and he's doing great.  All his friends from his class last year are in his new class, and he really enjoys his new teacher.  Also, Jenny and I have noticed he seems more focused this year, and the effort he's putting into his homework has greatly improved.  He's doing great so far.  Also, evidently he's too cool for me to walk him anywhere near his classroom.  It's a quick high five at the front doors and off he goes by himself.  I couldn't even get a picture of him in his new classroom on the first day of school.  As for Megan, she's starting kindergarten this year, and she LOVES it.  She goes all day (including lunch) and she does great.  She really enjoys her teachers, and she's making lots of new friends.  She's also starting to read some.  She brings home little books to read and we work on them together.  She's having a lot of fun.  In fact, she gets a little sad on the weekends because she's not at school.  Best of all...she likes me to walk her inside to her classroom.  So at least one of my kids acknowledges me.
