After spending some time in Paris and Disneyland it was time for our flight to Rome. This was our first time to Rome, and Jenny's Mom had never been there, so this part of the trip was new to all of us. After we arrived we checked into our "apartment" in the city. We found that renting an apartment for a few days would be more affordable than a traditional hotel, and would give us closer access to all the major sites within the city. Our apartment was small as expected, but it was clean and the location was great (near Piazza Navona.) Check out the picture of the keys to the apartment. Talk about "old school."
Anyway, our first day was all about just getting settled in and unpacked and all. But we did have a little time to go out to dinner and walk around Piazza Navona. And of course after dinner...there's always time for "gelato."
