"Nanapalooza" - Rome, Italy - DAY 2

We began our first full day in Rome with a walk to "Campo de Fiori," which is an open-air market tucked away in a quaint piazza.  We browsed around and bought a few souvenirs from the locals.  After a quick lunch it was time for our first guided tour.  On this day we took a 4 hour "Ancient Rome" walking tour, which took us to the Pantheon, the Roman Forum, the Colosseum, and more.  Our guide "Sarah" was great.  She gave us such a wealth of information.  The Colosseum especially blew us away.  I had wanted to visit that place my entire life.  My head was spinning just walking around the place.  Anyway, it was a long day with a lot of walking but it was worth it.  The kids held up great.  And we of course treated ourselves that night to a great dinner and gelato.
