Last Saturday in a college football game between LSU and South Carolina, a South Carolina player was tackled by a referee. I remember seeing the highlight of it on ESPN Saturday night and they were kind of joking about it, and not taking it too seriously.
But today a different angle of the incident was released and boy the hit looks very intentional. I mean seriously...I don't see how it can be taken any other way. The ref lines up and goes for the player with the ball.
The SEC released a statement today saying that the ref "acted appropriately, and was defending himself." Are you kidding me? It really looks like the ref is playing defense for LSU.
