At The Movies - Ben Edition

SPACE CHIMPS - I decided to rent this for Ben because Ben is nuts about space. SPACE CHIMPS is about...well...chimps in space. Three chimps are chosen to fly on a NASA shuttle mission through a worm hole, and eventually to a newly discovered planet. They ride on space shuttles, NASA rockets, land rovers, and all sorts of gadgets. The story here is dull, and the animation is somewhat uninspired. But Ben actually really liked this movie. Like I said, he's nuts about space. Whatever this movie is...he got it and loved it.

HORTON HEARS A WHO - Starring the voices of Jim Carrey and Steve Carrell, this is based on the Dr. Seuss book of the same name. Horton is an elephant who holds in his trunk a flower that contains a speck of dust. The speck of dust is actually a microscopic world. Nobody believes Horton's claims that he can hear the microscopic people, and he vows to protect them and lead them to safety. Ben has the book, and he saw the movie when it came out in the theater. Recently we decided to rent it for him and watch it again. He enjoyed it. I don't think he was into it like he is with CARS or TOY STORY, but he enjoyed it.
