Disney Vacation - Day 5

MONDAY

Our ship docked at Nassau in the Bahamas. This was Jenny and I's second time to Nassau. On this day I decided to do a snorkel excursion in the morning, so Jenny and Jackie took the kids to the pool on the ship for some splash time. After my snorkel trip we all caught up with each other on the ship for lunch and more swim time.

The news of the day however was Jenny getting sick. She told us she was feeling a cold coming on starting late Saturday and into Sunday, but it hit her pretty hard on Monday. So much so she was in bed half of the day it seemed like. We all felt really bad for her obviously because she was the architect of the entire trip. So she spent much of the afternoon in bed in our room.

Afterward, we all took an hour and walked through downtown Nassau and did a little shopping. I told Ben he was going to be in another country but he didn't seem to care. He just wanted to get back on the boat and hop back in the pool.

Later we all met up for dinner at one of the restaurants on the ship, Animator's Pallette. The concept of the restaurant is everything around you is in black-and-white. As you eat your meal the entire restaurant around you slowly turns to color...so at the end of your meal everything around you has come alive. It's pretty cool to see.

After dinner Jenny went back to the room to rest while the rest of us took in one of the shows on the ship, the Toy Story Musical. It was pretty cool, and Ben absolutely loved it. It was basically a stage production of the first movie, complete with original voices from some of the actors from the film. It was cool.
