Barcelona, Spain - Day 6

Wednesday was our first full day of the cruise.  Our first port of call was at Villefranche, France, which is just east of Nice.  A lot of the passengers on board went ashore first thing in the morning, but we were more laid back than that.  We've walked around so many European villages and towns now that we didn't feel the urgency to rush out and see two more.  Instead, we slept in and then the kids got to swim in the pool (which was mostly empty since most of the families went ashore.)

Late morning we finally went ashore.  Megan wanted to spend the day at the "kid's club" on the ship, so Jenny, Ben, and I spent a few hours walking around Villefranche and Nice.  Nice was nice (ha!) but we enjoyed Villefranche a little bit more.  Anyway, we only stayed ashore for a few hours.  For us...staying on the ship and eating American food seemed just as interesting to us.

At the end of the day there was a "pirate party" on the pool deck, complete with Mickey and Goofy, and fireworks.  It's that kind of stuff which makes the Disney cruise so great for kids.  The entire ship is geared towards families with kids.  So many things to do.
