Alluvial Fan

Later in the day on Monday Jenny and I took the kids over to the Alluvial Fan. The Alluvial Fan is an area where in 1982 a lake broke loose from up high in the mountains and came crashing down to the bottom...flooding everything in its path. Nowadays it's a waterfall and boulder field, which is perfect for the kids. They got to splash around in the refreshing water and climb up on the rocks. There's so much for kids to do at a place like this. They had a lot of fun...and it was such a simple activity.
