Last week we spent a week touring around Greece. It was Jenny and I's second time to Greece, and the first time for the kids. We started out in Athens. We walked around the historic "Plaka" area, (which is Greek for "old town") and then made our way up to the Acropolis to see the famous Parthenon. The Acropolis sits right in the heart of the city, and it always blows me away. It was so great to show the kids such a historical place. Back in Ancient times the Parthenon was dedicated to the goddess Athena (whom the city is named after.) Next to the temple was a giant statue of Athena, which sailors could supposedly see from the sea. Later in the day we had a few meals of Greek food and then walked around Plaka some more.
