Greece - Day 4

The next day the sun came out the scenery was gorgeous.  Blue skies, blue water, warm sun.  Crete is the largest of the Greek islands, and in some ways it reminds me of an island you would see in Hawaii.  Beachfront coastlines, green hills, and even mountains capped with snow.  We took a quick trip to the small town of Chania.  The town has a historic center that is nestled in a small harbor.  The town was originally settled by the Venetians, and the harbor area resembles Venice in many ways.  Later in the day Megan got to wear her new Greek dress for dinner, and Ben got to do some stargazing under Greek skies (just like the ancient greeks.)  The big news of the day came right before bedtime.  Megan lost her very first tooth.  Who would have thought her first tooth falling out would be in Greece.  She was super excited.
