"The Wild Wild West" - Day 3

On day 3 we left Rawlins and drove north on highway 287 toward Grand Teton National Park. For anyone who wonders if there are any more "wide open spaces" left in America they should go to Wyomng and drive this drive. Central Wyoming is filled with wide open prairies, mountain ranges, and rolling plains, all sprinkled with small towns with populations in the single digits. It's beautiful country. Anyway, we managed to find a small rest stop in the middle of nowhere, where we all had a picnic lunch. Then it was onto the park. We arrived at an overlook on the outskirts and took several photos. Then we entered the park and checked into our tent cabins - our home for the next week. Having finally arriving at the park it felt like our vacation was "officially" underway.
