Saturday morning we drove toward Los Alamos and visited Bandelier National Monument. It is a small park set at the bottom of a small canyon. The main feature of the park are the cliff dwellings and settlement remains of the native Pueblos of the area. Jenny and I did a 2 mile hike and toured some of the cliff dwellings. The main attraction at the end of the trail was the "Alcove House," a kind of ceremonial room used for large gatherings. We climbed 4 ladders to get to the top.
These guys didn't seem to mind us. We practically walked right into them, and they never seemed too bothered.
On the way out of the park I grabbed this shot of the surrounding landscape. Great scenery!
