After a full day of traveling we finally landed in Albuquerque Thursday night and drove north to Santa Fe. Stepping right off the plane in Albuquerque we had to laugh because we instantly could smell mexican food close by. I guess New Mexico just smells like that. So we drove north to Santa Fe, and ran into a sobriety checkpoint along the way on I-25. It was 6:30. Who does a sobriety checkpoint at 6:30? Isn't that a midnight thing? Anyway, we finally reached Santa Fe, checked in at our hotel, and ate a late dinner at Del Charro. The restaurant had a patio and kiva. It was great.
