Up in the U.P. - Day 3 ("MINER'S BEACH")

After visiting Miner's Castle and Miner's Falls, we stopped for lunch at Miner's Beach. It's a beautiful sandy beach right on the lake. We packed a picnic lunch, brought some beach toys for Ben, and had a great time. We practically had the entire beach to ourselves most of the time we were there. Ben got his feet wet in the lake and then decided that was enough. I couldn't get him near the water after that. I got in up to my knees, but I couldn't go any further. Just too cold. But the views were nice, and the weather was a perfect 72 or so.
