Up in the U.P. - Day 4 ("LOG SLIDE")

The Log Slide is another one of the park's scenic overlook areas. The reason this area is called the Log Slide is back in the timber and lumber days of old loggers would cut down trees and send them down the dunes to the lake below. There waiting ships and barges would gather up all the trees and lumber and haul them off.
