Alaska! - Day 2

On our second day we took a bus tour into Denali. Most of the park is closed to vehicles, so the only way around the park is by bus. The tour was from 6:30am to 8pm, so it was a really long day. But we were fortunate to have a stunningly clear day so it was worth it. The mountains were visible in all their glory, and to our surprise it was the peak of the fall color season. Best of all we got great views of Mt. McKinley all day long. Despite its mass (20,300 ft) oftentimes visitors never get to see the mountain due to weather, so we felt very lucky. I was totally blown away by the park. It's twice the size of Yellowstone, and the wildlife is even more abundant. Best of all the mountain scenery is just jaw dropping.
